World Cup

Saturday 29th May. The plan is to have our own 'World Cup' as a curtain raiser to the minor event in South Africa!!! It will be based on playing bar football and members will be asked to form their own teams. The team name odes not have to be a country, anything inventive will do. There will be a World Cup trophy for the iwnning team and prizes for the best-dressed team. A playing team is 4 people, but you can have substitutes - you may also want a manager, a team doctor etc. Be creative. Food will be served during the tournament and the cost will be £5 per head. 4, 5, 6

A brilliant evening was held on 28 April when Hilary Judges organised 4, 5, 6 a take on of the popular 70's Quiz Show 3, 2, 1. Pat Morrissey proved to be a brilliant stand in for Ted Rogers and the contestants really enjoyed themselves. The prizes ranged from a holiday in Australia, a Mercedes car, a luxury weekend and golf lessons. Unfortunately the last contestants rejected all these wonderful prizes and yes, you've guessed it won Dusty Bin.

Murder Mystery Evening

On 26 April a very successful Murder Mystery Evening was enjoyed by 64 Octopus members, who came dressed as various sleuths.

Murder Before Midnight was performed superbly by members of Octopus revealing clues to the audience over a period of half an hour. A fish and chip supper was supplied whilst the audience mulled over the first half of the entertainment. Charlies Angels proved to be the optimum sleuths and they walked away with the prize for solving the murder and best dressed table.
