The dinner will be held on Saturday 6th March, 7.30pm for 8.00pm. Tickets will be £18 per head. There will be dancing afterwards . Dress code is posh frocks for the ladies and the men can wear the appropriate equivalent (lounge suit or DJ). To suit the facilities and price, there will be a set menu with vegetarian option. The menu is, as follows:

Chicken breast roasted with butter, bay and thyme served on sweet potato rosti with a pancetta cream sauce. Accompanied by glazed root vegetables or Grilled Portobello mushroom topped with roasted tomatoes and watercress finished with cabécou goats cheese

On 26 April a very successful Murder Mystery Evening was enjoyed by 64 Octopus members, who came dressed as various sleuths.
Murder Before Midnight was performed superbly by members of Octopus revealing clues to the audience over a period of half an hour. A fish and chip supper was supplied whilst the audience mulled over the first half of the entertainment. Charlies Angels proved to be the optimum sleuths and they walked away with the prize for solving the murder and best dressed table.
On 15 February 67 members sat down to an excellent meal supplied by The Park Hotel, Falfield. After the meal a splendid disco arranged by one of Octopus' members completed a most entertaining evening.
